Hoary Stock double "Tall" (mix)
Hoary Stock double "Tall" (color mixture) - Matthiola incana mixed.
The flowers are large, predominantly double, of various colors, incredibly fragrant, and gathered in long spike-like inflorescences.
It blooms abundantly from June to September. It prefers well-lit areas with loose, deeply drained, and fertilized soil. Seeds are sown in the open ground in late April - early May, followed by thinning. Grown in mixed borders and group plantings. This is a special cut-flower mixture of the popular annual with abundant and prolonged blooming. The plants reach a height of 50-60 cm. The flowers are 3-5 cm in diameter. Important to know: genetically, a portion of the plants will always have simple (single) flowers. Stocks look excellent in flower beds and borders, and are simply ideal for growing near recreation areas and gazebos. They are perfect for cutting – for this, inflorescences that have opened by 2/3 are used. The flowers stay fresh in water for up to 10-14 days, filling the whole room with a rich, spicy aroma.
* To isolate plants with double flowers, a careful selection is carried out at the seedling stage: only those seedlings that have light green foliage are kept (seedlings with dark foliage will produce single flowers).

Agrotechnics. When the seedlings emerge, it is advisable to slightly lower the temperature and give the plants as much light as possible. Pricking out into individual pots is carried out at the cotyledon stage, about 10-12 days after emergence. When planting in a permanent place, the root ball must be preserved as carefully as possible, as stock does not tolerate transplanting well. It is possible to sow seeds directly into the open ground in late August (however, this method is only suitable for mild southern climates or heated winter greenhouses).
